We had the pleasure to work with Lodes and Snøhetta recently to create a film for the Volum lighting collection, which features an exclusive series of glass lamps that is poetically simple yet complex in its technically driven solution.

During research, we were quite intrigued by how some of the old blowing-glass factories were set. All around a single round oven where the raw-material will come through to start the heating process and take form from there.

Taking inspiration from these factories, we've applied an elegant and clean finish to the concept and architecture, amplifying the usage of arches to let them hero the product along the journey. All of which would then be playing alongside the more technical and dynamic shots.

"Seamless and understated, each Volum globe sees the diffuser and frame appear as a single form. To achieve this level of superb cleanliness, the upper part of the glass has been designed so that it can be closed with a translucent methacrylate lid that “seals” the lamp." — Lodes.
