This ornaments are painted from walls of old traditional Geogian houses representing religious beliefs of ancient people. 

Georgians had their own vision of sky  and unique visual representations of  it. There is old little verse about sky family which knows every little Georgian child:

მთვარე მამაჩემი,

ეს წვრილ-წვრილი ვარსკვლავები

და და ძმაა ჩემი"

Georgian scripts are unique in their appearance and their exact origin has never been established. It's beautifully simple and complex same time.
