Criada por um artesão brasileiro que vive em Portugal, a Leara tem como foco confecção de artigos manuais em couro.
Antes da criação do projeto de identidade visual, veio o naming. Criado pelo designer Douglas Alff, o nome Leara é inspirado na espécie Arara-Azul-de-Lear, que vive apenas na Caatinga, (bioma exclusivo no Brasil) no Sertão da Bahia. Além disso, “LEA” também é o início de couro em inglês, leather, nicho da empresa. Com isso, a marca traz uma assinatura visual bem modular, baseada no naming e homenageando o Brasil. Uma identidade visual elegante, brasileira, humana e moderna.

Created by designer Douglas Alff, the name Leara is inspired by the Lear's Macaw species, which lives only in the Caatinga, (a unique biome in Brazil). In addition, “LEA” is also the beginning of English leather, the company's niche. With this, the brand brings a very modular visual signature, based on naming and honoring Brazil.
