Ocean Bloom is an environmental narrative stimulated by the idea of one being trapped in a sonic storm, giant circular acoustic whirl in the depths of oceans. A site specific spatiotemporal composition of light and sound which allows visitors to explore the politics and practices of listening to more-than-human worlds.

Enabled by 4DSOUND Technology, Ocean Bloom deploys sound holograms as dimensional objects in space. The site-specific installation treats human-made underwater noise as a series of disturbing, unfamiliar and uncomfortable events, presenting them as a challenge to overcome the human/non-human dichotomy.
