For a client we were briefed to create a video that would inform home owners of upcoming construction work. The video was necessary because of a language barrier between residents and the construction company. Therefore the video couldn't include any text and had to provide most information through the animation itself.
Recreating the home was done by referencing blueprints of the location. Furthermore we visited a home that was characterized as an average home for the assigned construction work and we based the model on that location.

We furnished the home with some generic assets and assigned materials to the rest of the model.

To indicate and action by both the residents and the construction company we created two sets of ''people'' that would interact with the objects in the scene. To distinguish between the two sets, we provide characteristics such as a yellow hard hat, to identify the construction workers.
We did some light editing on the video with Adobe After Effects to indicate the space of 2 meter that needed to be cleared for construction. This was the only piece of text that was used in the video in combination with an arrow to indicate the direction.
Thanks!
