Eddy Merckx Bikes is the self-named bike brand, founded by the single greatest cycling legend of all time. We designed their latest machine from first sketch to engineering, respecting the heritage whilst uncompromisingly eyeing the future.

Presenting Pévèle, with which the Merckx brand pays tribute to one of the most trying stages in the classic race "Paris-Roubaix". This bike is an all-terrain monster, built for glory, on asphalt, on cobblestone, and in the slippery mud of its namesake.

This bike was the final instalment in the all new Merckx product lineup. We integrated the brand's defining character lines into a product that feels both peaceful and robust.

For the paintscheme, we suggested a peaceful, two-tone design with a base of speckled paint, as a reference to muddiness of the passage.

Eddy Merckx has undergone a major brand overhaul in the last few years. Playing into current market trends, with emerging segments for gravel and trekking bikes, their product lineup has expanded substantially. This case highlights part of that transformation. We were asked to bring the Merckx heritage into the allroad market segment.
