Rogue Taxidermy Kit

The designer alter ego that I developed for the project, Cynthia Mortimer, has a dark and morbid side that contrasts my own personality. She found inspiration for this project in Victorian typography, circus freak shows and, of course, taxidermy. "Rogue" taxidermists in particular use taxidermy tools and techniques to create animal oddities and hybrids, often from roadkill or pet accidents. The tool set includes all the bits and pieces a rogue taxidermist needs to practice her craft, from glass eyes to dry preservative to sewing needles. A hand-stained wooden box with metallic gold decals houses the hand-sewn leather tool sheath, a set of small glass bottles of various taxidermy supplies, and an informational booklet.
