PLACE On Air - Travelling Channel

PLACE is a traveling channel that will offer different values of culture, food, places, and ways of living by bringing audiences to explore locals with exotic insight. The main focus of the outcome and purpose of PLACE is to educate people to be open-minded towards different cultures and etiquettes. PLACE conveys all the positive energy to help prevent and overcome ethnic and racial divisions. The idea is to make people understand the world better by being more accepting of the diverse people and cultures around the world.

The Process

The aim is to put focus on not only traveling inspirations but also the people around the world. The diverse people around the world are the main inspiration and focus for the content and visual identity of the channel. 

The channel spreads positivity to be accepting of each other which can not be seen on other traveling channel.

The naming PLACE represents the Place of traveling and the Pace of travelers.

The Concept 

The first concept was embracing diversity. The identity is to convey positivity, a welcoming aura, and diversity. PLACE has to be minimalistic and elegant. 

As the focus was on people and their pace, the one thing that came to mind was the pace of people and their movement in a city place or a place full of people. The inspiration was the bird's eye view of people that can be seen from above. And in observation, people look like dots from above along with shadows of each of them.

Color Palette

The purpose was to spread diversity. Nothing could have been more ideal than choosing skin tones as color palettes. To make sure the visual identity doesn’t become biased, the plan is to use all of the colors in the design. The primary color for the project is pure white (Hex code: FFFFFF) to stay minimalistic (see Color Palette).
