Illustration of Brazilian politician Manuela D’Avila and her daughter. I made this drawing at the time of the 2020 Porto Alegre mayoral elections, when Manuela ran for mayor. I drew this scene as a tribute and campaign, because she was my candidate at the moment. Manuela is known for taking her daughter with her in various work situations and also for being persecuted and defamed for being a woman in politics. That’s why I wrote the phrase “Fight like a woman”. Acrylic and nankin, 2020.

Desenhei essa cena em forma de homenagem e campanha, por ela ser minha candidata no momento. Manuela é conhecida por levar sua filha junto consigo em diversas situações de trabalho e também por ser perseguida e difamada por ser uma mulher na política.
