I am fortunate to live in the English Lake District National Park, which provides endless inspiration, in every changing season. Continually searching for a different way of looking, I am enthralled by the infinitessimal gradations of light that add a magical radiance to my images.
Design
Having worked for leading Lake District charitable trusts, arts organisations and food producers, the emphasis is on producing individual designs, illustrations, photographs and copy of exceptional quality, whilst keeping within often limited budgetary constraints.
I have a no nonsense friendly approach to dealing with your needs and create illustrations and designs to suit you, rather than giving you a cloned, soulless, 'off the shelf'' product. But always your brand values will be at the forefront of everything I produce.
Every design job I do is bespoke and never from templates. A good design should not detract from your product or service, but enhance it in a seamless, clear, concise and elegant way.

Photography
I am passionate about capturing the essence of animals in action, in training or at play. I can come and take photographs of you and your dog, horse or other animal, whether it’s an energetic working animal or a treasured family pet.
Continually searching for a different way of looking, I am enthralled by the infinitessimal gradations of light that add a magical radiance to my photographs.
The best pictures happen when people don't know I'm there. So I try to keep in the background to get natural shots of a horse and rider or dog in their element. I won't be shouting out 'smile'. In fact, if I'm doing my job properly you won't even notice I'm there.
I’m a regular visitor to Cartmel’s Black Horses Friesians and have taken many photographs of Friesian horses in action and capturing the moment of riders enjoying Friesian Experience days out on the fells.
Words
I am a freelance journalist, currently writing articles for the Westmorland Gazette and its associated magazines and publications. I am no stranger to turning work around and meeting tight deadlines, whilst paying great attention to accuracy.
My passion for people and animals drives me to interview everyone - from vets and farriers to restauranteurs and local personalities.
As a wordsmith, I can produce concise copy to convey a message or write longer pieces for blogs and articles.
