Chelsea's completely redesigned crest achieved in 2006 something that not all clubs accomplish: It was modern enough for the times and it had a strong enough connection to the clubs' history, being a clear evolution of the badge used between 1953 and 1986. Since then, the club has had the most success in all of its existence, so it seems just wrong to change it completely... again.

However, I think that it could use a refresh of its different elements, to keep up with the times. The font was redesigned taking inspiration from the one in the 1953 badge, the redundant ball and rose were eliminated, and the lion rampant regardant was retouched and slightly reproportioned to feature a more harmonious silhouette without losing its unique charm.

Finally, all the colors were slightly readjusted to create a better contrast, needed in potential smaller versions of the badge.
