Portfolios is a yearly event hosted by College of DuPage during the spring semester to highlight the work of students participating in Portfolio Seminar as they become prepared for careers and continuing education beyond the school’s program. For my poster, I wanted to create a piece inspired by one of my biggest inspirations, Malika Favre. I wanted something graphic but elegant for my design. Taking inspiration from her subjects of women as forefronts of her designs and the high-contrast blue and red color palette, I developed the idea of a fortune-teller, “predicting” the future for Portfolios 2022 at the end of the semester.
