Curated by Bodhi IA, the theme of the exhibition was "World of Millenials". I chose a topic that was very personal to me: the overwhelming amount of information processed by my brain everyday, hence the name of the artwork "Information Overload". I was told that my artwork received a decent amount of appreciation in the open forum discussion that I unfortunately missed. Phew... Such a relief for a newcomer like me to hear that.
Art description (displayed on the exhibition):
"Banyaknya informasi yang hadir dari berbagai media pada masa kini tidak serta merta menambah pengetahuan publik. Nyatanya, informasi melimpah yang diterima tidak mampu diproses secara optimal sehingga justru merusak kognisi. Kebingungan memilah informasi yang penting dan yang tidak, serta keraguan membedakan kabar aktual dan kabar burung, menjadi masalah yang lazim di masyarakat."
First object of the series: The media as a source of information.
Second object of the series: The information that acts as stimuli to be perceived by the audience.
Third object of the series: The impact of the perceived information to the audience.
