Type Exploration
The goal of this project was to study the features of six different typefaces and choose one character for each to use to explore intriguing compositions.
Font: Stempel garamond Lt std roman Personality: Formal but also fairytale like. Dreamy but also uniform.
Font: Bauer bondoni std 1 roman Personality: Looks like it has popped out of a blog or magazine. Has a very expensive rich vibe, very high end. Cares about its looks and likes the extra expressiveness. Very unique and likes to stand out from plain fonts yet still conservative.
Font: Rockwell std regular Personality: Not formal, but looks like it has jumped out of a children's book. Specifically, "Cows that type." Very playful and looks to have been inspired by a typewriter.
Font: Futura std medium Personality: Simple, curvy, and pointy. Very formal and common doesn't have a lot of energy very business and not a lot of playfulness.
Font: Helvetica Lt std roman Personality: Very formal, simple, and straightforward. Not much personality is here it is very unbiased feeling. Commonly recognized.
Font: Platelet Personality: Very playful and energetic. Bubbly and outgoing. The numbers don't align giving a musical note vibe like the characters have rhythm of their own.
