Leave the land, take the trails

The idea of this tiny house focuses on the lessening of the carbon footprint, thus underground.
A stairwell cascading down to your tiny house. The idea behind it is that everything is scaled down and have the basic of needs within your space. this brought along of using or rather trying to make everything in the house a multi-functional tool/assets.
Being underground, there is a need of a natural source of light, although you can have a skylight, why not have something interactional, such as atrium, an underground atrium, the hole in the ground that reaches down to your underground house. You can walk outside while you are still underground.
Because the space is so small as it is I wanted to break up the space, not just by the rooms, furniture or floor levels. This led to a 2-step variation that separated the kitchen from lounge/bedroom. As well as the atrium has a step down in case for flood or season of heavy rainfall, to prevent flooding of the house.
