When the guys over at Classified Moto pick up the wrenches and start doing their thing, you can be certain that what they’ll come up with is going to be an absolute jaw-dropper. Led by John Ryland, these bike-modding connoisseurs are yet to deliver a build we don’t find downright fascinating and – to be fair – they most probably never will!

In its previous incarnation, the bike you’re seeing here was a regular 1980 model from Honda’s CB750F lineup, but it now goes by the name of Superstrada and looks about a dozen times more intriguing. The CM squad kicked things off with a complete teardown, subsequently amputating the stock subframe in favor of a bespoke substitute that keeps proportions nice and tight.

This module supports a svelte tail section with flush-mounted LED lighting, as well as a custom solo seat fashioned by Roy Baird – Classified Moto’s go-to upholstery specialist. Flanking the new saddle are perforated side panels, and the OEM gas tank is now cloaked in a shiny layer of nickel plating. These cosmetic mods are a sight to behold, but the heavy lifting occurred in the chassis department.

Up north, the Superstrada’s running gear comprises the repurposed dual disc brake, upside-down forks, and five-spoke wheel of a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6. There’s a Ducati Multistrada’s single-sided swingarm to be found out back, and that Y-spoked hoop had once belonged to a Hypermotard. In terms of rubber, Ryland’s gurus went with a Metzeler ME 880 tire at the front and Dunlop’s D616 compound at the rear.

Exhaust gases are routed out via four-into-one headers from Vance & Hines, which end in a tailor-made muffler on the right-hand side. We find a D.I.D X-ring drive chain transferring power to the rear wheel, while the electrical juice is supplied by a Shorai lithium-ion battery. Finally, Classified Moto added aftermarket clip-ons and a tiny Acewell dial up in the Superstrada’s cockpit.
