Allergy
As a nut allergy sufferer I discovered from experience that it is very difficult and scary to eat out abroad. Digital translators could potentially result in fatalities as when directly translated some words have different meanings and these translators do not know the necessary context. I created an app that would be a resource for allergy sufferers, loaded with verified correct phrases submitted by native speakers to avoid any loss of translation. The design of the app functions around accessibility with AA colour palette approval (it can be used by those with cataracts and colour blindness), large legible type as well as details such as strategic positioning of elements so it is user friendly to those with only one functioning hand.
Functions of the app include: a profile detailing the users allergies/ICE, preloaded foreign language phrases, a lock screen creator and a timer to better manage an allergic reaction in an emergency situation.
