Cluster Amaryllis is called "Higan-bana" in Japan, and comes from that the stems suddenly grow around the autumnal equinox  "Higan" every year and bloom brightly colored flowers.
In Buddhism, it also means ”the flower of heaven“, one of the most  popular autumn season words in haiku.
