I began this piece by collecting old tea cups, mugs, and tea plates. With those materials I created a very unstable sclupture that looked like it was toppling over. After documenting the sculpture through photography I completely obliterated it and transformed it into a pile of glass and plaster.

This project was fueled by a Romeo and Juliet style relationship in my personal life. This relationship was beautiful, yet fragile. The photographs serve as memories and through those memories are preserved what was in the past. Throughout time the relationship took a turn for the worse that I take responsibility for. I caused destruction in a similar way to the destruction I caused to the teacups and plates. The final result is what the relationship became: a jumbled mess of what was and the remaining question of what is.
