Residential Apartment

This mixed-use building has commercial premises on its ground floor and apartments on the other levels. The central axis of the building is used for common/social areas because the building is oriented more towards university students and/or large families.
The building is designed with 2 implicit axes in mind. The central axis marks the flow of movement verically. It is also the pillar that joins the residential and commercial spaces horizontally where the other activities and housing are.
This residence has been designed with each area being usable and having a function. Activities can be carried out in both the interior and exteriors of the apartment complex throughout the different levels whether it's in the common/social areas or in the cafe on the ground floor.
A recreational space was provided in the interior design, where both social and professional study/work activities can be carried out. The waterfalls in the lobby create a sense of the calmness and familiarity.
This project was envisioned to have a design that naturally flows with the context for which it was designed for. The ventilated front facade is dynamic and modern. It also allows for light to enter by the use of materials and colors inspired by the forest. This facade creates dynamic yet provides privacy.
