During a class project, I had the opportunity to design and assemble a custom book using a binding technique called "Stab Binding". I chose to create a book representing a small accounting firm located in Wimberley, Texas. I had a chance to interview one of the partners who founded the firm, Marc Berger, and was able to learn more about the company as well as how he values owning his own business. I chose to create a unique composition for each page spread while keeping the same colors, geometric shapes, rhythm, and basic placement to create an overall design system for the book. Each page represents different aspects of the company from what I observed and learned during the interview and research process of this project. I also chose to include a supporting picture and quote from my interview with Marc to add another level of depth to the overall design.

Once the page spread designs were complete, I was able to create a printable version and print the pages in the correct order to assemble a polished finished product. I chose to use a trimmed file folder as the outermost book cover to add to the overall office workplace theme of the project. To complete the project, I used black thread to stab bind all of the pages together.
