Zine Idea 1: The Yin and The yang
As the famous YinYang depicts, life is perfectly balanced with the good and the bad, with good in the bad and bad in the good. This zine idea will relate my life experiences in relation to the YinYang. The zine would split similar to a YinYang with chaos and negatives flowing into peace, stability and the positives. The overall message of the zine would be you cannot have the good without the bad and to let life balance itself. It would include a combination of personal illustrations and pictures to demonstrate my experience with balance.
Zine Idea 2: Mates and Memories
My mates and the memories we create are the some of most important things in my life. The places we see and the things we do are stories I will tell to my future grandkids. We capture every trip on multiple film cameras, all of varying quality from plastic disposables to dedicated Nikon film cameras. The film style that comes from these pictures are retro, memorable and more personal to us and the moment they capture. What you see is what you get, and they aren't always perfect, which is the best part. This Zine would present our best adventures through film.Zine Idea 3: Mate Guide to Camping
The Mates guide to camping would be a Zine dedicated to my mates and our camping/4 Wheel Driving adventures, but with a satire feel with little seriousness to the 'guide'. It would show off what makes a camping trip legendary and how it doesn't need to go perfect to be a good trip. Keeping a similar style to the Zine idea 2 with more of a handbook layout and contents.
