WEARABLE MODEL - ICONIC EAMES CHAIR
The portfolio consists of a detailed analysis of an artefact of my own choice. Design is not just about interpretation and invention. Design nurtured by looking in detail at the world around you. Observation is a critical skill, you need to look and understand what is happening in a design solution. By extracting all the visual elements displayed in the artefact, line, shape, form, colour, texture and space, an annotation about the principles that will be demonstrated on each element tracing. The principles are: unity, repetition, balance, direction, emphasis and contrast.
By using the insights, the main principles, to inform the development of each, a final version of a wearble model will be developed based on the chosen artefact, which is the iconic Eames Chair.
