The artist I have chosen for our photographic typology research project is Tehching Hsieh. I chose this artist because in a previous class I learned about his one year performances where he photographs himself every hour for an entire. Hsieh's "One Year Performance" started January 1, 1980 and ended a year later on December 31, 1981. During this year every hour he would punch in a time card, recording his progress during his extensive project. Tehching then held an installation of all 8760 photographs of himself and his time cards.
