Anatomics

Anatomics is a personal project derived from my desire to convert my real life physical paintings into 3D textures (with artworks made available as NFTs).

The title takes it's cue from the subject matter, a series of 3D sculpted portraits, a key format of classical art throughout the years. This felt like an appropriate platform to further experiment with the textures as a kind of mask/skin, as well as giving a playful edge to some abstract prop creation surrounding the sculpts (as well as malforming the sculpts).

All renders were created using the Cycles engine in Blender 3D, with sculpting using a mix of Blender 3D, ZBrush and 3D Coat, and textures mainly created in Blender 3D, with one or two using Adobe Substance Sampler and Painter.
