Hybrid Mythical Creature

The project is an experimentation of collaging two museum objects with different historical context, materiality, and presence. By using 3D modeling softwares and VR platform, we tried to reimagine the existence of ancient Chinese mythical creatures and bring new life to them in a virtual space.
“Si Bu Xiang” 四不像 (meaning literally "The Four Not-Alike") is a legendary creature in Chinese mythology stories.
We brought the models into Gravity Sketch and created a VR space to better visualize the scale of the creatures and let people interact with those virtual mythical creatures.
