Portrait in the style of Diane Arbus
I was doing research on the iconic Diane Arbus when I came across her photograph of "Transvestite on a couch", I thought that this style of photography was quite beautiful as she captured people's uniqueness. I thought the messiness of the hair and the cigarette in hand was very nice so when I recreated the photograph, I wanted to make sure I had the pose and hair to perfection, I also made sure I made mine black and white with a shadow on one side of her face.
in this photograph I tried the same inspiration just a different type of pose, in this my model Leah, is looking away from the camera which brings your attention more to the cigarette and rollers, this is also in black and white like the original.
These two aren't in the style of Diane Arbus but I thought they were also quite good and worthy to add to my behance. I like the top one because I like how the model is facing the middle and how the shadow is on one side of the face it give a dramatic effect. I like the bottom one because its fun you can tell she's happy.
