O projeto proposto pela disciplina é de uma passagem de pedestres que abrigue a associação de moradores do bairro Auxiliadora (AMA) localizada entre as ruas Mata Bacelar e Cel. Bordini, em Porto Alegre/RS. A proposta reune nesta passagem além da associação de moradores, um salão para festas e eventos e também um café. Para possibilitar uma relação direta entre a associação com o bairro e seus moradores, a sede está localizada na cota da rua Mata Bacelar. Aproveitando o desnível de 3 metros do terreno, implantamos o café sobre o volume da sede da AMA, criando uma passagem coberta sobre a entrada da mesma. Dessa forma o café relaciona-se com a rua de maior movimento, rua Cel. Bordini, servindo como atrativo e movimentando o espaço público.

The project's subject is create a pedestrian walkway that houses the association of Auxiliadora's neighborhood residents (AMA) located between the streets Mata Bacelar and Cel. Bordini, in Porto Alegre / RS. The proposal gathers in this passage besides the neighborhood association, a hall for parties and events and also a cafe. Allowing for a direct relationship between the association with the neighborhood and its residents, the headquarters is located in the quota of Mata Bacelar street. Taking advantage of the difference of 3 meters from the ground, we implemented the coffee over the volume of the AMA headquarters, creating a covered walkway on the entry thereof. Thus coffee is related to the busiest street, street Cel. Bordini, serving as attractive and moving the public space.

O propósito do projeto é ser menos agressivo ao meio ambiente e, para isso, ele reúne uma série de cuidados com a escolha dos materiais, as técnicas de execução e o reaproveitamento da água da chuva. Visando um bom desempenho térmico e acústico as paredes do bloco superior são compostas por duas camadas de tijolos com lã de rocha entre elas, todos os vidros são duplos, a cobertura é verde e, no bloco inferior, a terra ajuda na inércia térmica.

The project was developed in order to be less aggressive to the environment and, therefore, it gathers a lot of care with the choice of materials, methods of implementation and reuse of rainwater. Envisioning a good thermal and acoustic performance of the upper block walls are composed of two layers of bricks with rock wool between them, all windows are double, cover is green and on the lower block, the land helps in thermal inertia.

As aberturas foram pensadas para melhor aproveitar a ventilação e garantir a insolação adequada tanto no inverno como no verão. No bloco superior (café), as aberturas estão voltadas para leste e oeste e por isso são rasgos verticais. Já a sede da associação a fachada envidraçada é protegida com painéis de correr de madeira, o que possibilita o controle da entrada do sol. Para a área aberta nos preocupamos com a permeabilidade do solo. Escolhemos como piso permeável o deck de madeira, assentado sobre uma grossa camada de brita, aumentando o potencial de armazenamento das águas pluviais do solo.
