In the past year the musicians and I suffered from the traumatic experiences of the pandemic and protest in China and US. Months of lockdown life; home-returning flights canceled over and over again; the panic for the capillary penetration of surveillance; the disturbing noise of the helicopters hovering over my place everyday during the weeks of BLM protest. We tried to employ immersive audiovisual live performance to recall the intense bodily memories encoded by 2020.
