Brought along with me to England are some joyful memories from my childhood, many of these objects belong to my grandmother, my mother and father. When I was given these possessions by them, the essence of these memories got stored within these artefacts and became free for me to reminisce about.

I had an extremely blessed childhood, materialistic possessions were not in plenty but it was my mother's kitchen recipes, sleeping comfortably in my 'Godhadi' every night which was refurbished from my grandmother's sarees, sitting down with my family and getting to know stories of how differently my parents and grandparents grew up whilst looking at the photographs, etc. the real treasures.

These items then made a long journey from India to England and are well now preserved with me. The thread which connects me to my family is this same sense of nostalgia.
