The poster design includes a wine spill as its main feature and has a childlike aesthetic. I wanted the design to be fully illustrative and fun. I wanted the shapes to be geometric and not overly realistic. I arranged the type as it was falling as well out of the glass which I think looks effective and a playful way to display the title of the poster. I wanted to include elements that can be easily translated and replicated in my 2D and 3D concepts. To resemble grapes, I added opaque circles I the background, overlapping and floating behind and around the poster. I believe this is a simple and effective design choice that adds visual interest. For the banners I included things you would find at the festival (wines, drinks, cheese and crackers) made from simple shapes and bright, vibrant and saturated colours. When all together they tell a visual story and standing alone looks simplistic and effective. These will be utilised for my 3D packaging as well. The 3D gable box combines the elements from the poster and banners into a cute pattern, which is simple yet effective. The box would act as a cute small goody box for food leftovers, promotional gifts for the event. I thought it would be a good multipurpose box and can easily be folded and disrupted. I went with a repeated pattern design with elements used both from my banners and other illustrations of food you would find at the festival.

I believe my final poster, 2D and 3D designs meet the design brief and encapsulate the aesthetic and feeling of the CRUSH Festival. I wanted my designs to be solely illustrative. I wanted the designs to feel almost child-like and be fun and playful. Based on previous years I believe I have created designs that would fit in Crush’s future campaign. I believe I smartly made all the elements relate to each other and look cohesive. The colour scheme was intentionally bright and vibrant to communicate the sunny and celebratory atmosphere at the festival.
