The Wizard of Oz Typography Book Cover
In Typography class we were asked to choose a book and a few sentences that we liked from that book to create a book cover design entirely in typography. I choose The Wizard of Oz because it’s a classic which I’ve always enjoyed. I thought it would be fun to design the slippers, and the yellow brick road in typography. It didn’t end up exactly the way I had initially envisioned it but I really enjoyed this assignment because working with texts and manipulating it was really interesting. I had never done anything like that before and it was challenging, but I also would really be interested in doing a typography design again. To create an entire design out of text was a really fun way to test my design skills.
