Eggbox Premium Organic Eggs is a fictive brand developed for this self-study. Egg packaging is one of the fundamental of package design so I decided to give it a shot. My goals were simple: 1.) develop a unique package; 2.) successfully transport 6 eggs; and if possible, 3.) perform the above in a revolutionary way. Below are my solutions.

Product Review:
Above are some of the competitors I reviewed before developing my own package design.
The pros of the packages above include: egg quantity and sturdiness of package.
The cons include: overwhelming information and perhaps color usage. Another negative aspect of the package above would be the styrofoam material (i.e. Eggland's Best).
Competitor Analysis:
Although colors attract the consumers eyes, the combination of colors sometimes give off a sweettooth (candy) look. Especially when they are saturated. So one advantage I considered was to go about my design without color.
Eggbox Premium Organic Eggs: The Brand
I wanted to create a friendly feel for my product so I used slab serif fonts and lowercase to give off a welcoming and trustworthy impression. Notice that the brand is also bold and clean so it is legible and simple.
Eggbox Premium Organic Eggs: Sliders
As for the package, it is simple, functional, and vertical. Yes, vertical! But I'll address that later. These sliders carry 3 eggs each and to collect the eggs, users slide the "sliders" out of the box. The instruction seemed redundant to write because the design has a lot of visual cues that signify the available actions.

Eggbox Premium Organic Eggs: The Package
This design of this package provides vertical storage in the refridgerator thus saves space for other storages. The package's vertical feature also creates an advantage in marketing because it draws attention at a distance, beating all its competition to the audience.
