Here's a demo of a Tool I created for file management and automated backup as well as exporting the FBX of all the Characters and Objects including Cameras separately in the folder structure... I've implemented this tool at 3rd World Studios too. I've used Python and Mel Scripting to achieve this after a lot of struggles. The tool Launches Autodesk Maya in Batch mode exports the FBXs from them and places all the files in Managed Directories.
