Canon PhotoMarathon India 2015
"To my surprise was 4th Runner up in this competition. I was just 6 months in training as a photographer and didn't have a professional camera to participate. Good thing was that I had some nice Supporting seniors/teacher at that time who lend me to use a Professional Camera owned by the Institution in which I was pursuing my bachelor degree."
"Competition rules were very simple, the judges will share us two themes and we'll have a whole day to shoot and submit the Photos on the same day. We can edit pictures using in-camera settings but not outside of it. And the results were announced on the same day of the competition including prize distribution."
Theme 1 : Thinking Green
"Thought behind this click was spontaneous I was roaming around in a big garden and I already shot some photos but none was connecting with me deeply, then I saw this little Afghani kid playing on the footpath and thought Thinking Green is basically a theme about the future and children are the future of the world. Knowing the fact that nowadays we have achieved so much great technologies but in return we are destroying greenery around us and showing a Happy Kid playing in a garden is something we should be THINKING while creating technologies that can go hand in hand with GREEN.

I used a filming technique here which is called the Alfred Hitchcock Shot, this shot was done manually."
Theme 2: Game
"And this was my 5th attempt which I shot and submitted in the last 15 minutes of the submission time. With no idea of what I'm gonna shoot, my head was down and I saw two ants and I thought isn't it amazing how ants lift up so much weight like 10-50 times of their own weight. Fast forward 1 hour 45 minutes after many attempts of clicking something that will resonate the idea of the theme, then out of no where I got this vision of Man coming out of the Arena after winning a hard battle. So, I simply just replaced the Man with Ant and recreated this whole image from my mind of what if someone trapped an Ant inside this cup. What will the Ant do? The Ant won the GAME."

NO ANTS WERE HARMED!
A Winning Moment!
I'm the sitting right in the middle.  :)✌️
