Over the past couple of years, we worked closely with Sussex Taps to bring a series of 3D films to life to showcase some of their wonderful designs. One of them was Calibre.

Inspired by the appreciation of urban design and architecture, the film exists around the connection between these worlds and nature. The connection and contrast between raw materials and polished finishes, the uneven versus perfect lines or my favourite, the co-existence of nature and man-made. 

The shots were then emotionally wrapped up in one of the most cinematic pieces we have created for the past year or so. 

Throughout our research and development process we explored the different environments in bright and darker worlds. Creating contrast between the rough and polished, nature and architecture and ultimately light and shadow.

The result not only enhances the dissimilarity between the two worlds, but also support on the story division and naturally create chapters throughout the film.
