Sometimes you’ll be asked to create an original work based on another artist’s or photographer’s work. In order to avoid infringement on another artist’s intellectual property rights, you must add considerably new artistic value to a subject through application of color, creative mark making, and composition.
Color swatch creation and management is also key to maintaining an organized system suitable for larger applications such as advertising campaigns. Apply what you’ve learned about color and start to marry it with personal style while speed-painting color studies in Photoshop.
Use what you have learned about tints, shades and tones to create interesting palettes with a wide range of values. Remain somewhat faithful to the subject’s contours, but apply some stylization through the way you paint.Complete one painting for each of the four color rules:
       - Monochrome
       - Complementary
       - Split Complementary
       - Tetrad

Using these tints, tones, and shades, I used photoshop to live paint a monochromatic, complementary, split complementary, and tetrad color schemes of the original snowboard.
