We installed a paper sculpture, inspired by the 'Kalemler' story of Yaşar Kemal, one of the most important Turkish authors. This story was created for children, so we chose this character from the book, who seems happy with the pencils that he picked from the garbage (as in the story). The seagulls are symbolic figures of Istanbul.
This paper installation project was created for a neighborhood library realized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
The sculpture was all handmade and made of paper.
