Vertical Garden Capsules- Location: Hamra,Beirut,Lebanon
The Vertical Garden Capsules is a dormatory structure located in Hamra,Beirut in Lebanon at Makdissi Street. Hamra is primararly known as a lively, dynamic and dense urban fabric and it is considered a main commercial district of the city of Beirut since it contains all of the main infrastructures in the form of educational,institutional,commercial and hospitality facilities which makes it a huge central hub of the city. Since Hamra contains many structures that are constructed one upon another there has been a lack of green spaces. The goal of the project is to enhance the environmental, psychological and living aspect of both the users and the people.

It contains mainly 2 types of capsules:
The single bed unit capsule has an area of 51sqm containing a living room with a kitchenette, and a bedroom.
The double bed unit capsule has an area of 65sqm containing an additional bedroom.
As the capsules are alternating in position or rotating or shifting at each floor, I was able to generate balconies for some capsules. Thus creating this space that has become a source of ventilation, and vertical gardens.
