The brief was to design an ex libris stamp that draws together natural imagery that holds personal resonance for the client and reflects themes of love, nurturing, growth and learning.
Two options were developed based on a particular fir tree: one where the shape of the tree emerges from the yearly growth rings, and the chosen design, a 'positive' silhouette where the uninked rings and name show through.
The text is in Optima, a typeface that has both a classic and modern feel.
