Targeted is a piece that I created when I was in apparel. Originally stemming from the BLM protests. Atrocities like tear gas being thrown at peaceful protesters as well as targets that officers use to test practice were the main inspiration. This piece gave me an angelic quality kind of reminiscent that this person wasn't with us,  was not alive.  The model who volunteered with this project captured the vision and improvised poses and movements that seemed to match the vision. Prior to the modeling I created the silhouette for the pants. I wanted to create a scene that gave the impression of the model not being alone. This was an enjoyable piece to work on. I learned how to transcribe shapes from everyday life into garments.
