AIGA Music + Design Booklet

The Challenge
Transform the digital article "What Music Labels (and Listeners) Really Want From Designers" by Emily Gosling into a booklet for AIGA's Design + Music series.

Solution
Inspired by the article, I created a fresh art direction that represents the connection between music + design. I made textures from experimental scans of my own record collection and used them as artwork throughout the booklet. The textures help to add movement and vibration to the look + feel. While, the color palette and type treatments are bold, high contrast, and give off the retro feel of a record store.

The addition of textures and whitespace turned the digital article into a 24 page booklet that compliments Emily Gosling's words.
