Animated Typography
In this new project we were instructed to create video with a song we liked, except it had to exist mostly out of text. 80% text to be precise. There were also some restrictions put on the song we got to chose. This being that it was originally not allowed to be longer than 3 minutes. However, after some issues for some this was changed to 3 minutes and 10 seconds, if the song had a long musical intro.
Song Options
The 3 song options I had chosen for this project were, 'I will survive' the funk version covered by Anna Pantsu, 'One day' by Lovejoy and 'Warriors' the theme song for She-ra and the princesses of power by Aaliyah Rose. I specifically chose these songs, because they are all a bit more fast pased and gave me inspiration on what to do as soon as I listened to them. And I knew I'd be able to listen to these on repeat, which is exactly what happened in the coming weeks. Another reason why I went with these and not some other songs I like, which there were many options, is because these are songs I am fine with if others knew I liked them.
In the end I chose for the song for which I had the most ideas already thought out for. This being 'Warriors' by Aaliyah Rose. I had considered to go with the slower version used for the trailer for season 6, but this one far exceeded the time limit. So upbeat happy vibes it is.
The lyrics are about the princesses figthing the Horde. An evil empire taking over and destroying the planet.

In the end I did manage to find the original typography used in She-ra and the princesses of power. For the fancy text used with the word 'evil' I made use of Baroque Text JF regular. In the chorus I used the letter type Noka bold.
