Ovim radom spekuliramo o posljedicama trenutnih metoda zbrinjavanja otpada u Gradu Zagrebu. Kroz nekoliko scenarija propitkujemo tenziju odgovornosti nad problematikom zbrinjavanja otpada. Ona se bavi odnosom odgovornosti Grada i samih građana. Prikazali smo neke metode kojima se Grad i pretpostavljeno komunalno poduzeće koristi, načine djelovanja građana te time stavili naglasak na paradoksalnu činjenicu da je odgovornost za održivo zbrinjavanje otpada prije svega individualna. Dani scenariji rezultirali su artefaktima — materijaliziranim objektima koje smo posudili iz budućnosti, relevantnim za lokaciju. Oni su upozorenje sadašnjoj generaciji na ono što potencijalno slijedi.
This work is speculating the possible consequences of current waste management practices in the City of Zagreb. Through these scenarios, we are questioning the tension of responsibility over waste management. The tension spans between the responsibility of citizens for their personal waste management solutions, and the city’s waste management policies. We have shown some methods that the City of Zagreb and its Public utility company are to use in the future, while also showing the methods that the citizens have developed to make their day-to-day cohabitation with waste bearable, thus emphasizing the paradoxical fact that the responsibility for waste management is supposedly individual. The given scenarios have resulted in artefacts — materialized objects that we have borrowed from the future, relevant to the location. They serve as a gentle warning to our generation what might come in the near future.
