Dead Serious #1: I Text Dead People

Character sketches of my MC, Annabel, for my upcoming book, I Text Dead People (2015)

As if living in a creepy mansion on cemetery grounds weren’t horrible enough, 14 year-old Annabelle Craven accidentally becomes a guide that bridges the gap between the living and the dead with her cell phone. Adjusting as the new girl in a small town while trying to fit in becomes near impossible as her life is completely interrupted by the unliving. Receiving text messages and nightly visits, Anna is pestered with their unresolved issues and ridiculous requests. Especially Lucy, a delusional lovesick ghost in denial, who also happens to have a slight case of amnesia the night she died. Unless Anna can help her discover what happened that fateful night, nobody will rest in peace.

About Lucy:

Lucy is MADly in love... Lucy loves Johnny. Johnny doesn't love Lucy. Lucy is in denial. Lucy dies. But it was an accident. Or so they say.

Lucy is delusional .And in denial. Unable to cross over because of all her unresolved issues, Annabel is the only living soul that can communicate with Lucy, so she haunts the heavens out of her.

Nothing will stop Lucy from the love of her life. Not even the afterlife.

The only way for Lucy to cross over is to come to terms with her death, and Johhny. Only then can Anna rest in peace.

Lucy's love runs deep. About 6ft deep.

She might not the smartest spirit in the afterlife, but one thing is for certain….
Lucy is crazy in love.
Actually, she's just crazy.
And this whole situation is dead serious.
