Angels, collage, surrealist

Adozinda dos Anjos was a Portuguese immigrant to Brazil in the beginning of the 20th century. "Vida dos Anjos" starts as an homage to her life, "Vida" in Portuguese means "life", and her surname "dos Anjos" means "of the Angels", so the work explores balance and a transcendence from the real to the surreal. It not only transports her life with this transcendent vision but also ideals of traditionalism and purity represented by wedding dresses and marriage which now are common garments in this transcendent world.
