Buttermilk: Font Illustration/ Article

Jessica Hische (AKA the "Drop Cap Girl") created the beautiful font featured below - Buttermilk.
I decided to take a typeface and, by assessing it's anatomy, make an illustration that reflects its qualities. Obviously, it reminded me of caramel, with it's narrowing strokes, beading up at the terminals, and it's flowing lines throughout each letter.

The first page is featuring the illustration reflecting the Typeface - dripping caramel, created using Adobe Illustrator.

The second page is featuring an article I wrote about both the font Buttermilk and Jessica Hische. I made sure to include a caramel & chocolate drop cap, in honour of madame Hische. I designed this page using Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, and photoshop.
This was a really fun project. It really pushed me to take a closer look at various typefaces and their anatomy.
