FIGURES OF SPEECH IN POSTER DESIGN

​​​​​​​The main purpose of this project was to find a paralalism between spoken and visual speech. And to use speech tools such as rethorics in order to comunnicate social awareness themes.

With that being said, it was designed a group of posters, using a constructive system that makes them work individually and as a whole. The constructive system serves my purpose of representing the human hand as a sign of the human condition.

This correlation can be described as a Synecdoche. So when a hand is visually comprehended, that means that a certain group of people with those same characteristics is being representated and the observers can understand or feel empathy for those who are being enhanced and their struggles.

Each one of the hand drawings, can be associated with an idea or concept, correlated to a social statement or position. "V" for victory, the middle finger as the male phallus, closed fist as a way of rebellious fight, and so on.
