Fishes drown in water
2019
I have been asked over a thousand times—'Why do you act like this?'
Yet, no one has ever really listened.

All they wanted was to replace my “imperfections” with their ideals.
Introverts are like fishes drown in water — to them, the outer world exists too many stimuli, but when they tried to find a balance, they often are queried. Since everyone is staying together like the shoals, when someone is found solitary, it seems strange to the others. It is a commonly overlooked bias. In the world designed for extroverts, a great talker pouring out words is so charismatic, while those being quiet are always symbolized as shy, antisocial or problem cases. Introverts like me tried to act like what the world favored — to talk endlessly, to socialize, to stay with people. Yet disobeying our natural instincts helps nothing but brought us extra tiredness.
