X-S (access) is a project by Queer Trans Liberation, founded by Trans-Queer rights activist Stella Spoon. In 2023 I joined this movement with the project X-S. 

The initiative all started by winning the Save the Night fund by Jägermeister. A project with a very important goal: to support both sides of the global nightlife community and those who need direct help for their living and those who need to stay home instead flocking to clubs and bars to hang out with their friends, having a good time.

Being both neurodiverse, Stella and I came up with a task force to improve accessibility in events and nightlife. Spaces are underprepared for people with a visible and invisible disability and the X-S project wishes for better inclusion of the disabled community and more awareness regarding the inaccessibility of events and venues. 

My role was the following: 
1. Event production:

- general project management 
- contact with the venue
- staff hiring & management
- co-booking talent & artist care
- oversee set design

- budgetting & admin

- handling of documents regarding the fundings 

2. Social media: 
- oversee content creation

- optimise paid social media efforts

- post content 
- community management

The first event happened in April 2023 with the support of Jägermeister and the follow-up event was an open air day festival in August 2023 at Club OST. 
The project continues in 2024 in accessible queer venue Schwuz. 

The next steps are as following: 
- Organise events in a fixed venue to promote the movement
- Consult events and venues on their accessibility
- Create more accessible spaces
